Introduction:
- DXA- based BMD is the standard tool for diagnosing osteoporosis
- BMD measured by DXA is a strong predictor of fragility fractures in both sexes and different ethnicity

- Serial measurements of DXA are performed to:
- Main objective : detect patients with significant loss of BMD despite treatment. (efficacy of treatment)
- Improve adherence to treatment (few data to support that monitoring improves adherence)
